Il “mundus” era il foro praticato dai Romani come fulcro per l’edificazione dell’urbe lungo i quattro punti cardinali che si sprigionavano da quel punto. Era il luogo sacro che definiva il centro del mondo e metteva in rapporto il sotterraneo con il celeste attraverso la terra.
“...esiste per ogni uomo una certa scena, una certa avventura, una certa immagine, che è l’immagine della sua vita segreta."

Con questo spirito l’artista indaga ciascuno dei giorni dell'anno scavando nelle immagini generate dalle vite dei Santi, dalle festività popolari e stagionali, e la relativa stratificazione dei riti su cui affondano le tradizioni del suo territorio e del suo vissuto individuale e familiare.
Ogni giorno è un raggio che tende verso il “mundus” centrale: un fulcro solare, che ordina e separa il mondo in quattro porzioni cardinali e stagionali, e attorno al quale si completa una ruota di 365 raggi. In questo calendario solare, ogni raggio è una frase che sintetizza il nume tutelare, il daimon del giorno di riferimento, in una personale celebrazione dello spirito insito nel tempo ciclico.
The “mundus” was the hole made by the Romans as a fulcrum for the construction of the city along the four cardinal points that emerged from that point. It was the sacred place that defined the center of the world and connected the underground with the celestial through the earth.

With this spirit, the artist investigates each of the days of the year by digging into the images generated by the lives of the Saints, by popular and seasonal festivities, and their relative stratification of the rites on which the traditions of his territory and of his individual and family life are based.
Each day is a ray that tends towards the central “mundus”: a solar fulcrum, which orders and separates the world into four cardinal and seasonal portions, and around which a 365- spoke wheel is completed. In this solar calendar, each ray is a phrase that summarizes the tutelary numen, the daimon of the reference day, like in a personal celebration of the spirit inherent in cyclical time.
